Wow! What an awesome Belly Dance class we had last week! Thanks to all the ladies who participated, we had a Blast! This week it's time to get back to basics with the Essential Pilates exercises. In my
Back Care & Stretching class we cover the principles of Pilates movement and break down 9 of the exercises that are most effective for relieving back pain and strengthening the spine, while still being gentle enough to do daily. This is a perfect class for anyone new to Pilates or recovering from injury. More advanced students can also benefit from reviewing the basic principles as form, quality of movement and breath are essential to a good Pilates practice.
Then next week, Sept. 9th, join us for
Strength Training with Deanna Zeek. She is a personal trainer at Focus Fitness in Jax Beach and the trainer we recommend to all our clients. This will be her second time guest teaching in my Pilates class and we can't wait to see her again. Last time she brought her resistance bands and weights and guided us through a heart-pumping, muscle building workout that had us sweating and feeling great! Be sure and bring supportive shoes with you to this class... and maybe a towel, too ;)
